4 weeks

Already our little guy is 4 weeks old! My how time flies! He is up to about 10 lbs now. Just for comparison Ryan was not 10bs till he was 2 months. This guy is a little "Chunker". Here are a few more recent pics of the boys.

Welcome Joshua Jacob Burden

Joshua joined our happy family on March 21, 2008, at 12:46 pm. He weighed a whopping 8 lbs and 3 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. We are all glad to have him here. They say all your children have thier own personalities! We are having fun learning all about our new little guy. So far he is a really relaxed and laid-back baby. He rarely cries. I thought Ryan was laid-back, but this guy has him topped, if that's even possible. He sleeps most of the day and night. We don't see his dark blue eyes open very often. He seems to be gaining weight very well and seesms quite healthy. We have a Dr.'s appointment tomorrow to check up on him.
Ryan loves his little brother. He likes to give him kisses and asks to hold him at least once every day. When he's done, Ryan goes about his business as usual. He has not shown any obvious signs of jealousy at this point.
Other than that we are all adjusting to having him here!
We love you all!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas! Ryan was spoiled by lots and lots of new, fun toys. Some of his favorites include his new big basketball hoop, a play kitchen, and a bowling ball set. Mitch and I were also spoiled in our own ways :) Most of all it's so nice to be able to spend time with family.
As the New Year starts, we are looking to start getting the house ready for the new baby. We are putting wood laminate in the dining room, computer room, and the baby's room. There's so much to be done!
So far the doctor is planning to deliver my boy by a scheduled C-Section. The tentative date for the little one's arrival is March 21st. I will find out in a few weeks if that is for sure the date. Of course that means his and Ryan's birthdays will only be days apart. That is also the weekend of Easter so we'd be in the hospital for Easter. I can say, however, I am doubtful that this baby will make it to the scheduled C-Section date. Ryan was born at 37 1/2 weeks, and my C-Section is scheduled for the end of my 38th week. I'm thinking this baby will come earlier, so we'll just all have to wait and see.

IT'S A BOY

We had our ultrasound and found out that we will be having another little boy! I'm excited that I'm going to get another ultrasound done in about a month. It will be one of those new 3D ones. They will give me a CD of pics so I can share them with you. Unfortunately I only have print outs from this ultrasound so I have nothing to share online :(
Now comes the hard part..finding a name :)
We love you all!
Take care!

I'm SOOO Sorry!

Things have been busy and I have much to share and post! Its been 6 weeks since my last posting. Lets see, since then, I've started working 8 hours a week at a preschool in the afternoons. Ryan goes with me. They don't charge me for him either. He's having a tough time adjusting, but since its not that often it may take longer for him to adjust.

I am now 19 weeks pregnant. The dr's moved my due date to March 31st. So I'm almost half way done now! My how fast the time has gone! I just can't believe it! I'm feeling really good. Starting to feel the baby move some, which is exciting. My belly is getting bigger for sure! And I'm even more excited that my sister is pregnant too, and we are only 6 weeks apart.

Ryan is doing great. He says so much more than he used to. We have to watch what's on tv and all cause he will repeat a lot of things. He loves to do the motions to "If your happy and you know it" and "Row Row Row Your Boat" and "Head shoulders knees and toes". He sings some of the words too. He's learned to put his dirty clothes in his hamper and he's learning to clean up his toys too. I took him to a barber for men and boys for a first professional hair cut. He did SUPER! The lady was great with him! I love his hair cut, it was getting so long.

For Halloween he went as a clown. He was not a funny clown though. The masks other kids wore scared him, so he only went for a bit and was all done. We went to Mitch's mom and dad's nieghborhood with Ryan's cousins. It was just too much for him this year. But I will post some cute pics of him in his outfit!

I have an appt in a few weeks to find out if I'm having a boy or a girl! So I will be sure to update then!
LOVE YOU ALL!

When Mommy is boring...

Ryan finds his own fun... geessh!! I thought he was playing in the play room. Instead he had crawled on top of the dining room table and was playing with the baby powder!!! Sigh.. he sure is all boy, but he keeps me smiling!

HII!!

I'd like to introduce you all to the newest, soon-to-be-member, of our family. I learned today that the baby is measuring ahead of schedule. So it is possible that my new estimated Due Date will be March 30th, instead of April 7th. The baby looks well and healthy, and the heartrate was up at 160 :) I'm around 12 -13 weeks depending on which due date the doctor chooses to go by. I'll find out for sure next Wednesday whenI go for my next OB appointment.
I still experience tiredness and some nausea. I'm hoping that it will go away soon :)
Ryan is doing well! He's learning new words and new things to do everday! Why just this week he learned how to throw water out of the tub, at his Daddy (but hasn't done it to Mommy yet). He also figured out how to open our dishwasher. We've taught him how to put his dirty clothes in his hamper too.
That's all for today! LOVE YOU ALL!
